To all my blogger/vlogger friends…

This is something that has been on my mind quite a bit lately, I’ve questioned what am I doing in the blogging/vlogging world is it time to shut down or keep on going?  It’s been over a year that I made my entry into the vlogging world and overall I have received so much good from it all.  I have made so many friends and contacts and I am extremely grateful for that.

The reality that I’m facing is that I don’t have the time to make videos as frequently as I used to.  Managing a house of 5 with a baby means that perfect hair, makeup, lighting and time to edit do not align perfectly EVER.  Which is why some of you who follow me closely have noticed that I revamped my blog and have started posting regularly again.  I’ve done this for obvious reasons, blogging doesn’t require all of the above to make a perfect video.  I can take a few great shots and swatches of products quickly in good daylight and save the writing and photo editing for later, perhaps at midnight when the kids are fast asleep.   This is a whole different discussion of it’s own.  I have no intention of leaving the blogging world as far as I know.

As well, lately I’ve been wondering here and there what happened to so and so?  A while back I recall my friend Chicachew tweeting something saying that she was sad to see certain people stop making videos.  Back then, I didn’t think anything of it, however, recently I noticed some people that I used to be in contact with via social media slowly drop off.  I was a little sad myself wondering what happened to these people and took it upon myself to contact them directly asking what happened.

The internet and social media has a way of wonderfully connecting us all virtually.  I find it amazing sometimes that I can feel a closeness with some of my blogging friends that I have yet to meet in person.  We share a slice of our lives with each other, we laugh and we cry with each other. It’s a wonderful thing, however sometimes some people just do not have the desire or time to interact like that anymore.  I am already starting to see people drop off here and there.  I just wanted to say to all of my wonderful friends that I have met through my blogging journey, thank you so much for being a part of this with me. You will notice a slow down of the videos being put out, I just don’t have the time anymore.  Let’s just say in this short time that I wrote this post I have already run about 15 times back and forth to the babies room trying to soothe him to sleep….lol…those that are mommies understand exactly what I am talking about.  So if this post is poorly written or if any of my posts are, it’s usually because my mind is halfway there trying to multitask and crank out a post-this is the reality of my life.

I think a mom who puts her kids first is more inspiring than any video that could be made. (Or any post with 0 gramatical errors, for that matter.)

Thanks for reaching out to me after I dropped off the internet planet. It’s been a wonderful change for me, as you know from our conversations.

Enjoy those cute babies of yours!

Thanks for your support Hannah! It was so nice to reconnect with you. I had been wondering what happened to you. I’m so glad to hear the good news too. Yep, at the end of the day I just want to be a good Mom and make a whole lot of wonderful memories. Blogging has been a wonderful outlet for me. So glad we can stay in touch! xo

I can totally relate to this post. haha as if we don’t talk about that on a daily basis. The negativity and idiots that are on YT already turns me off so badly I want not waste my precious time on editing, and filming. Family always comes first and being a mommy is the hardest job ever. You’re amazing and I can’t be happier that we met online. Like you mentioned, I feel so much closer to some of you guys although we have not met in person yet. Hopefully one day we can all meet up and hang out!!! 🙂

Thanks Julie! I’m so glad to have met you as well! Yep, I used to think working in corporate america was hard, but man, being home with the kids is harder than I thought. I joke around all of the time with the hubby that working was so much easier! And yes, sometimes YT can feel a little unrewarding. When I get that occasional dislike I shake my head and think, if you only knew the effort that I put forth in making this video, even if you don’t like it, you wouldn’t “dislike” it, just turn to something else…lol…Hopefully one day we can hang!!! xo

You do what you need to for you and your family. Making videos and even having a blog is very time consuming. Having family time is the most important thing. I’ve also pondered about leaving youtube myself. Not that I don’t love making videos because I totally do, but I value my family so much more. I always put them first, but I’ve come to realize that I have the time of my life when I take breaks from filming. No one knows us and appreciates us like our own personal family and friends:)
